One way to work around this to be sure to only get the ones they'd want in on this sorta deal is to only allow pure alliances to enter. By pure I mean strict amarr, strict minmatar.
Though an alliance of amarr with an ammatar corporation may have a case to plead.
Need I say this isn't what I had hoped for and that I don't see Rasa siding here, especially now being discriminated against for adopting to the game and going alliance format...

The question have to be, would the CSM have prevented this trainwreck?
It's obvious to me there's not a roleplayer among the devs, no dressing up as a clown while the wife wears catears does not count.
Who takes credit for these hard thought out 5 minutes of work?

No it's not, it's taking a stance and trying to follow through best you can, without wrecking the whole and selling out, with the means at your disposal. Flavor of the month is something the Privateers are about, don't confuse that with roleplaying.

They don't want blob tactics. They wanted to control...to some extent, the size of engagements to try to keep it a little more even fights, not 800vs400.

It's semi-arena warfare is it not? Then just designate different corporations to defend or attack targets and match them up. Or they were just tossing this in to be some no-influental killinggrounds for those who cannot find themselves a regular war to be in?

Thats not a bad solution to the problem. They could allow alliances into FW, but everyone in that alliance would not be able to jump through a 0.0 gate.
